US President Donald Trump did not provide any details about this act. In a conversation with journalists, Trump also said that several European leaders will visit Washington early this week to discuss ways to resolve Russia’s war against Ukraine.

He also said that he would soon hold talks with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, and according to US Special Representative Steve Witkoff, he is ready for a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Ukraine and Russia. The Kremlin said it knew nothing about this.

Commenting on the latest developments in Ukraine, Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the war’s progress, including the massive Russian air strike on Sunday night. At the same time, the US president reiterated his confidence that the war would be ended soon.

Otherwise, according to Trump – “There will be a high price to pay.”

US Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, in turn, noted that the Russian attack on the government building in Kyiv does not signal Moscow’s intention to end the war diplomatically. According to him, the danger of any war is escalation, and Russia is escalating the conflict.

Two days before the latest massive attack, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney called for maximum pressure on Russia, given Putin’s new threats.

“He has not yet come to terms with the need for peace,” Carney commented on the Kremlin leader’s position.

According to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the persuasion and concessions that have been given to Putin so far have not yielded a positive result, but only lead to further escalation of the war, which is increasingly directed against civilians.

“I am shocked by the latest brutal overnight attack on Kyiv and all of Ukraine. These cowardly attacks show that Putin thinks he can act with impunity. He is not serious about peace. Now, more than ever, we must stand firm in support of Ukraine and its sovereignty,” he emphasized.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that Putin pretends that he does not need peace, but that world pressure can make Russia interested in ending the war.
