Ukraine has signed an initiative with international partners to supply 155-caliber artillery rounds and has already paid for them, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. He also noted an important result of the Czech initiative to purchase artillery ammunition. As of mid-February 2025, the Czech Republic has delivered 1.6 million shells to Ukraine and guarantees supplies until April.
Sweden will also provide Ukraine with 18 Archer self-propelled artillery systems and 5 Arthur counter-battery radars. This is part of the 18th military aid package, which is worth $300 million.
At the same time, the United States is ready to resume deliveries to Ukraine of long-range projectiles known as small diameter ground-launched bombs (GLSDBs) after they have been modernized to better counter Russian interference. The munitions will come amid reports that Ukraine’s stockpile of Army Tactical Air-to-Air Missile Systems (ATACMS) has been depleted. The GLSDB has a range of 161 km.
