SorbiForce, a Ukrainian startup based in Arizona (USA), has created a technology for the production of eco-friendly batteries with a service life of up to 6,000 cycles (up to 30 years). Only agricultural waste, carbon, water, and salt are used to create the battery. At the end of its life, up to 95% of the battery cells can be decomposed into organic materials, and the remaining components can be reused. Unlike lithium-ion batteries, SorbiForce cells do not pose a risk of explosion or toxic leakage.
SorbiForce is currently working on raising $270,000 on the StartEngini crowdfunding platform (it already has $160,000), and then will need $5 million to launch the plant. In previous rounds, the startup managed to raise $687,000 and received a valuation of $20 million.
At the same time, CompetAI, a Ukrainian startup that creates a web service for analyzing and researching competitors using AI, is finalizing product development and preparing for a marketing launch. The startup aims to make marketing tools accessible to small businesses. CompetAI will first be launched in Ukraine, but the key market is the US. The team is planning to raise up to $110,000 in investment soon.
