Ukraine’s Defense Minister: Over 4 Million Ukrainian-Made Drones to Be Delivered to the Front in 2025.
Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that more than 4 million Ukrainian-made drones will be delivered to the front lines in 2025.
As of the end of June, the frontline has already received approximately 1.5 million drones.
“Last year, many brigades requested direct funding. Together with the government, we worked on this and allocated dedicated funding directly to the brigades. Today, we provide ₴2.5 billion every month to brigades so they can make direct purchases,” Umerov said.
He added that contracts are being prepared for tens of thousands of additional long-range drones to expand the scale of attacks on Russia’s military infrastructure. Umerov also stressed that Ukraine urgently needs more air defense systems and missiles, though progress has already been made in deploying interceptor drones.
The minister also announced the launch of a large-scale international initiative, Build with Ukraine, under which partners, in cooperation with leading Ukrainian manufacturers, are beginning the construction of new defense factories. The weapons produced at these facilities will be immediately supplied to the front lines.
